Hormone & Blood Testing

A great love life starts with your biology.

Testosterone, oestradiol, thyroid hormones and prolactin all influence libido, arousal, erectile function and energy. They are among the few factors you can actually measure — a starting point for a conversation with a clinician rather than an answer in themselves.

We are adding hormone and fertility blood testing to the range, analysed for us by a CQC-registered, UKAS-accredited UK laboratory. Collect a simple finger-prick sample at home, post it back free, and get a clear, private report of your numbers — in discreet plain packaging, start to finish.

We give you access to your data — not medical advice. These tests return accurate laboratory results and general information only. They are not a diagnosis, a treatment or a clinical opinion, and they are not a substitute for professional care. Always consult a qualified medical practitioner before acting on any result. No clinician reviews or comments on your results before they reach you. If a result falls outside the reference range, or you feel unwell, contact your GP — in an emergency call 111 or 999. You must be 18 or over to order.

For men

Testosterone Blood Test
For men · Libido · energy · drive

Testosterone

£45 · 6 markers

Total and free testosterone, SHBG and the Free Androgen Index — the hormone most involved in libido, drive and erectile function.

Male Hormone Blood Test
For men · The full male picture

Male Hormone

£90 · 11 markers

Eleven markers across the male hormone axis — testosterone, LH, FSH, oestradiol, prolactin and DHEA.

Prostate (PSA) Blood Test
For men · Private prostate awareness

Prostate (PSA)

£95 · 3 markers

Free PSA, total PSA and the free/total ratio, measured privately at home.

PSA is not a cancer test. PSA can be raised by benign prostate enlargement, infection, recent ejaculation or cycling as well as by cancer, and a normal PSA does not rule cancer out. There is no NHS PSA screening programme. Any result outside range must be assessed by your GP.

For women

Female Hormone Blood Test
For women · Libido · cycle · mood · energy

Female Hormone

£75 · 11 markers

Eleven markers across the female hormone picture — oestradiol, FSH, LH, thyroid, prolactin and testosterone.

Female Fertility Blood Test
For women · Including AMH — ovarian reserve

Female Fertility

£140 · 10 markers

Ten markers including AMH — an indicator of ovarian reserve, not a prediction of conception.

AMH indicates ovarian reserve (the remaining egg pool). It does not predict whether or when you will conceive, and a low result does not mean you cannot. Fertility assessment involves far more than blood markers — discuss results with a GP or fertility clinician.

How it works

  2. Collect your sample at home. A simple finger-prick, following the step-by-step instructions in the kit. Morning samples are best for hormones.
  3. Post it back free. Return it the same day in the prepaid Royal Mail envelope provided.
  4. UKAS-accredited analysis. Your sample is processed in a CQC-registered, UKAS-accredited UK laboratory.
  5. Your private results. A secure, password-protected report of your numbers against reference ranges, sent as soon as the laboratory reports them.

Frequently asked questions

Who will run the laboratory?

Samples are analysed by Sussex Pathology, a CQC-registered, UKAS-accredited UK laboratory. UKAS accreditation is the same standard used by NHS and private laboratories.

Why does hormone testing matter for a sex life?

Libido, arousal, erectile function, mood and energy are all influenced by hormones — testosterone, oestradiol, thyroid hormones and prolactin among them. When something feels off, these are among the few explanations you can actually measure rather than guess at.

Is a finger-prick sample as accurate as a clinic blood draw?

For the markers in these panels, capillary samples are validated by our laboratory and analysed to the same accredited standard as a venous sample. Some specialist markers can only be measured from a venous sample; none of those are in this range, so every marker listed is one you would actually receive.

How private will this be?

Kits will arrive in discreet plain packaging with no clinical or brand markings outside. Results are confidential health data, delivered in a secure password-protected report. They are shared only with our laboratory partner in order to process your test, and otherwise never without your consent.

Will a doctor interpret my results?

No. You receive your numbers against standard reference ranges — access to your own data is deliberately what this is. It is not a diagnosis and not clinical advice; take anything outside range to your GP or a qualified clinician.
