Frequently asked questions
What does AMH actually tell me?
AMH gives an indication of ovarian reserve — roughly, the pool of eggs remaining. It does not predict whether or when you will conceive, and a low result does not mean you cannot. It is one piece of information among several, best interpreted by a fertility specialist.
When in my cycle should I test?
AMH is stable across the cycle and can be measured at any time. FSH, LH and oestradiol are most informative on days 2-5, so testing in that window gives the most useful overall picture.
Is this a fertility diagnosis?
